How customers agree to texts from a business on TripleReviews, before the first one.
Carriers, reviewers and anyone who got a text.
Businesses use TripleReviews to text their own customers after a job: a review request, at most one follow-up, and sometimes a short survey. This page shows how those customers agree before the first text, what TripleReviews records, and what the texts say. The full rules for people who get our texts are in the SMS terms.
In writing, to one business, before the first text.
The customer agrees in writing to get texts from that business: on its booking form, estimate, work order or invoice, with a box to tick that is never ticked for them. The business uses this line, with its own name:
I agree to get text messages from [Business name] about my job, including a review request and short surveys, sent through TripleReviews. Up to 4 msgs/month. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Agreeing is never required to buy anything. Verbal agreement alone is not enough. The agreement covers only that business and never lets any other business on TripleReviews text the customer. Each business also has its own texts page with these terms (triplereviews.com/texts/…), which it can link from its form.
A separate tick in TripleReviews, recorded with each customer.
When the business adds customers in TripleReviews (one at a time, pasted from a spreadsheet or from a file), it first ticks that these are its customers. Texts need a second, separate tick that is never ticked for the owner, with these exact words:
Each of these customers agreed in writing to get texts from [Business name]: review requests and short surveys after a job, up to 4 texts a month. I keep their written agreement and can show it if asked.

For every customer it covers, TripleReviews stores when it was ticked, which login ticked it, these exact words and where the customer came from. Only the account owner can tick it, and a changed phone number loses it. Job software connected to TripleReviews can mark a customer only when it sends an explicit text-message opt-in for that customer. Without the tick, the customer gets emails only.
Sample messages, as sent.
Every text starts with the business name, links to a page on triplereviews.com (never straight to another site), and ends with "Reply STOP to opt out". The first text to a number also carries the rates and HELP line. Texts use plain characters and fit 2 segments.

Message frequency and sending hours.
Up to 2 review texts per job and up to 2 survey texts per survey, at most 4 texts a month and never more than 3 in 24 hours to one number. Texts go only from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. where the customer is, by the area code of their number. Msg&data rates may apply.
Opt-out and help keywords.
Reply STOP, STOPALL, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, REVOKE or OPTOUT, or ask in your own words, and texts from that business stop. One text confirms it. START turns texts back on. HELP or INFO answers with the business name and how to reach us:
